We are inviting the whole community to come celebrate true life stories of seniors here in our city and world. How cool is that?
Celebrating their life and experiences while we have them here live and direct🤩 After concluding our podcast series ‘My Story To the World’, we decided to make one of the stories into a short film. Our desire is for the whole community to come out to celebrate seniors while learning from their interesting adventures.
Just imagine that Monday evening (yes 23rd Dec is a Monday) being a beautiful mosaic of different generations and ethnicities. And you there in person being a part of the movement – #TrueLoveMovement. And guess what?😃
The icing on the cake is that this event is FREE💃🥳🎉
TrueLoveMovement started in 2013. Peace Ilondior aka Hef-zibah had just released her album in November 2012 titled “TrueLove”. And she felt the desire to share this love to others. Love should not be limited to just between spouses or family; love should be spread across the world because we are all connected and related.
To spread to the world, she had to start somewhere, she started with the senior citizens in her community. That age group usually feel excluded from all the fun happening. Hef-zibah had a close relationship with her grandmother so this inspired her to start there. The very first ever TLM in February 2013 on the streets of Surulere she did the first ever TrueLoveConcert for seniors.
Promoting sustainable development is essential for a humanitarian NGO.It not only offers immediate relief and aid but also works towards long-term solutions that empower communities to overcome challenges on their own.
